 | In Ubon some things change yet some things stay the same |
In yesterdays blog I introduced you to Rob who was based here in Ubon more then 40 years ago. I have loved looking through the old photos on his and other sites from friends of his, especially the ones that show what the city of Ubon was like back in the 1960's and 70's. So many places are totally unrecognisable whilst others you can pick immediately.
One of those pics was of the Shell Service Station (Pump Shell if you are a Thai) on the corner of Tung Si Muang Park. As the photos below will show you, it is still there and almost looks exactly the same!
